The Number 19 in the Quran

Thr_muze_art_islam_20

Another mathematical miracle of the Qur’an is the manner in which the number 19 is numerologically encoded in verses. This number is stressed in the words of the Qur’an: “There are nineteen in charge of it.” (Qur’an, 74:30), and is encoded in various places in the Book. Some examples of this can be listed as follows:

n-ATOMIC-WEIGHTS-ELEMENTS-large570

(This section is based on Ömer Çelakıl’s book “Building Blocks of the Universe in the Holy Qur’an” and contains calculations the accuracy of which has been confirmed.)

The entire universe, the Earth we live on and all living and inanimate entities are made up of various combinations of elements. Although the atoms that comprise the elements are all made up of the same particles, they possess different characteristics. What essentially makes the elements different from one another is their atomic numbers, the number of protons in their nuclei, in other words. There is one proton in hydrogen, the lightest element, 2 in helium, the next lightest, 79 in gold, 8 in an oxygen atom and 26 in iron. The property that differentiates gold from iron, or iron from oxygen is merely this difference in the number of protons in their atoms. The air we breathe, the human body, any plant or animal or planet in space, living or inanimate, sweet or sour, solid or liquid, absolutely everything, is made up of protons, neutrons and electrons as proofs in Allah’s sublime Creation.

Word repetitions in the Qur’an

numbers

Apart from the miraculous characteristics of the Qur’an which we have looked into so far, it also contains what we can term “mathematical miracles.” There are many examples of this fascinating Qur’anic aspect. One example of this is the number of repetitions of certain words in the Qur’an. Some related words are surprisingly repeated the same number of times. Below is a list of such words and the number of repetitions in the Qur’an.

The Quran mentions him as one of  the Pharaoh’s closest ones since he is mentioned not least than 6 times along with the Pharaoh, which shows that “Haman” occupied an important place in Pharaoh’s hierarchy.

The use of the title “Pharaoh”

égypte 22

In the Old Testament, the Egyptian ruler during the period of Prophet Abraham and Prophet Joseph are named “Pharaoh.” However, this title was actually employed after the eras in which these two Prophets lived.

While addressing the Egyptian ruler at the time of Prophet Joseph, the word “Al-Malik” in Arabic is used in the Qur’an: It refers to a ruler, king or sultan:

(Quran 12.50) The King said, ‘Bring him to me straight away!’…
